Myth of Empires – Persia DLC New Mounts and Horse Grooming Feature

Currently, the closed beta testing for the Myth of Empires Persia DLC is in full swing. During this period, we have gathered a lot of valuable feedback and suggestions, which will serve as crucial references for the development team to further refine the DLC. More exciting content about the Persia DLC will be gradually revealed in future development logs. In this installment, let’s dive into the new mounts and the horse grooming feature introduced in the DLC.

The newly added mounts in this update include camels and ostriches. Camels, primarily found around desert oases, are better adapted to desert environments compared to horses. They boast greater stamina and superior carrying capabilities. Ostriches, on the other hand, are common desert creatures known for their impressive jumping abilities and reduced fall damage.

Unlike taming horses, camels and ostriches require a different approach: they must be knocked unconscious and then fed to be tamed. However, similar to horses, camels and ostriches also possess talents, traits, weaknesses, and skills, and can be bred—though they cannot acquire awakening skill. To unlock the saddle recipes for these two mounts, players must complete the corresponding Silk Road Atlas quest in the DLC. Once the required level is reached, the saddles can be crafted.

As for the horse grooming feature, players can use this function in the stable for a specific horse. The interface is similar to the character creation screen, allowing players to make detailed adjustments and modifications to the horse's color, body shape, patterns, mane, tail, leg hair, and even the roots and tips of the hair. Additionally, multiple pre-designed sets are provided for players to choose from, enabling them to customize their beloved horses to their heart's content and save the designs as templates. This feature will be introduced alongside the Persian Civilization DLC update, and all players will be able to enjoy it upon release.

Of course, the Persia DLC offers far more than just these features. Exciting gameplay elements such as the profession change system, hiring warriors to work autonomously, and crop expertise will be introduced in future development logs.
