Myth of Empires – International Vanguard Edition Available March 1
Imperium Interactive Entertainment Limited has announced that the International Vanguard Edition of Myth of Empires will be officially released on March 1 at midnight Pacific Standard Time (08:00 GMT). The game will be available for a temporary 20%-off discount. Additionally, all new servers will go online on March 1 at 08:00 PST (16:00 GMT).
Myth of Empires is a survival/sandbox game with a high degree of freedom, set on the ancient Eastern Continent. In this war-torn world, players will fight to survive the elements, make structures, craft items, command armies, and form guilds. Players can lead their guilds to conquer cities, plunder caves loaded with treasure, and build their own empires.
The game is currently available in limited quantities as part of a stress test. Players interested in survival/sandbox games can visit store.mythofempires.com to buy Myth of Empires now.
For this launch, the developers have also prepared several new gameplay features, including Skirmish Mode. Skirmish Mode has no level limit, and players are not required to bring their own equipment. Players start on equal footing and fight the enemy team for supremacy of the battlefield.
Players who participated in the Myth of Empires alpha and beta tests may remember Skirmish Mode. The International Vanguard Edition features a new and improved version for players both new and old to experience. Let’s take a look!
First and foremost, this version of Skirmish Mode features a variety of different areas and obstacles, providing each of the different selectable weapons a chance to shine.
Here are some of the changes in this mode:
1. Both sides have two spawn points: one spawn point is flat, giving cavalry units that spawn there an advantage right off the bat; the other spawn point is tailored to the needs of infantry, featuring cover that players can use to avoid being killed as soon as they spawn.
2. Most of the battlefield is open, allowing free movement and rampant bloodshed.
3. The newly-added cover and platforms on the battlefield provide places for archers and crossbowmen to lay down damaging fire. This stands in stark contrast to earlier iterations of the Skirmish Battle, which heavily favored cavalry units.
4. Two of the map’s corners have dense forests, which greatly hinder the movement of cavalry and also provide interesting locales for infantry to engage in tense, on-on-one battles and ambushes.
Overall, the changes made to the mode weaken the overpowering dominance cavalry enjoyed in previous versions, improving the viability of other units.
These adjustments enhance the strengths of Myth of Empires’ Skirmish Mode. Players have access to the same weapons and characters, reducing the combat here to a pure test of skill. In the past, this game mode has stood apart from the main world of Myth of Empires, but the connection between the two is deepened here. Players who participate in Skirmish Mode can earn points based on how well they do. These points can be exchanged for rare materials, unique items, and more in the game’s overworld.
In the future, the Myth of Empires team will continue to develop new and exciting gameplay modes for players to enjoy.
Myth of Empires’ International Vanguard Edition will feature even more exciting new gameplay content when it releases on March 1, including war elephant saddles, arrow walls, bird hunting, and fish farming. The game will also feature new structure recipes, pendants, and more. Buy the game to see all it has to offer!
